I was in a book shop today, eventually getting round to spending book tokens that I’ve had for quite some time. Usually it’s second hand books that I buy. (I’ve always got a reading list of both physical books and audio books to get through). Today I made a point of actually going to buy books to use these kindly gifted tokens. I get intimidated in book shops and overwhelmed as soon as I step through the door. So much information, so many genres, so much to look at and where do I start? Then after a short look around… there it was -all beautifully wrapped to stop damage from random book flickers- The Wizard of Oz.. Special edition pop up. Decision made. Overwhelm calmed. Mission complete.
