Happy Tuesday everyone. I thought this was very apt for me to touch upon today. Exercise or just moving in some form, is how we maintain healthy bodies and healthy minds.
Exercise is vital for good mental health and I strongly believe this to be true. Within seconds of being on a walk or on a treadmill i feel calmer. Within minutes I’m brainstorming- the ideas come thick and fast when your mind is clearer. Exercise clears that mental clutter. It’s keeping a promise to yourself, that feeling of discipline and doing something positive for yourself.
Walking is my go-to but I also love swimming. A fairly recent discovery after always detesting it when I was young. The friends I’ve met, the constant challenge and the feeling of achievement are something I’ve never known. Bettering myself in small ways I guess is how I’d sum it up. It’s how I’ve become obsessed with marginal gains.
Exercise is also a fantastic way of keeping you away from the fridge- if you’re like me anyway!
